The Abia Rejoice Movement has raised alarm over an alleged plot by what it described as unscrupulous political actors to harass, blackmail, physically harm, or possibly assassinate its leader, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, CON, over his political views and engagements in Abia State.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, the movement said it had received what it termed “reliable intelligence” pointing to a coordinated attempt by desperate political elements within the state to intimidate and endanger the former Minister.

The group described the alleged plot as “fruitless and already dead,” stressing that it was motivated by political desperation and intolerance.

According to the statement, the decision to make the information public was taken in the interest of transparency, public awareness, and collective vigilance, while assuring that the matter is being treated with the seriousness it deserves.

“Although these alleged plots are being handled with the gravity they warrant, we remain firm, calm, and undeterred,” the movement said, adding that history has shown that malicious schemes against innocent individuals ultimately fail.

The Abia Rejoice Movement called on well-meaning citizens, security agencies, and relevant stakeholders to remain alert and proactive, warning against attempts by subversive elements to incite fear, destabilize peace, or undermine democratic processes in the state.

Expressing confidence in divine protection, the group declared that no scheme or weapon fashioned against Dr. Ogah, his life, or his lawful pursuits would succeed.

The statement further noted that individuals allegedly linked to the plot are known and assured that the facts surrounding the matter would, in due course, be revealed through lawful and appropriate channels.

The statement was signed by the Abia Rejoice Movement.
