Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has formally declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Atiku, who has previously made several attempts at the presidency, stated that he will not relent until Nigeria is “rescued from the intensive care unit.”
The former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of attempting to downplay the growing influence and momentum of the ADC, insisting that the party is positioning itself as a viable alternative ahead of the next general election.
