The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has begun disciplinary action against Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, accusing him of working against the party’s interest by collaborating with the ruling APC while still a PDP member.
On Thursday, July 18, PDP’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi, noted that a six-member committee has been set up to review petitions against the former Rivers State governor, which could lead to his suspension or expulsion.
Some PDP leaders argue Wike’s role in President Tinubu’s government shows disloyalty, while his loyalists call the move excessive. The decision comes as PDP seeks unity ahead of the 2027 elections.
