The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has taken a swipe at former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, following reports of his alleged move to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on the matter, Wike dismissed Amaechi’s chances, insisting that the former Minister of Transportation had no pathway to securing the party’s presidential ticket.
“He (Amaechi) knows he won’t get the ADC presidential ticket for 2027,” Wike said, while mocking his political rival’s prospects.
The development adds a new twist to the long-standing rivalry between the two Rivers-born politicians, both of whom have remained influential voices in the nation’s political landscape.
