The Abia APC Renaissance Group has expressed deep appreciation to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for approving and facilitating the execution of critical power infrastructure projects in Abia State through the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC).
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the group applauded the President for the ongoing construction of a 1×7.5MVA, 33/11kV Injection Substation, alongside 1km of 33kV line, 1.2km of 11kV line, 2km of 0.415kV low-tension distribution line, and the installation of two 300kVA, 11/0.415kV transformers in Umuahia, the state capital.
According to the group, this strategic intervention is expected to significantly enhance electricity supply especially across Abia North address persistent power shortages, and stimulate socio-economic development throughout the region.
The group noted that the project will improve productivity, support businesses, create economic opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to the overall development of both Abia State and Nigeria.
They further commended President Tinubu for his continued attention to the infrastructural needs of Abia State and the South East.
