As preparations intensify ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national convention, five prominent party leaders — Nyesom Wike, Samuel Ortom, Ayodele Fayose, Okezie Ikpeazu, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi — have tabled a six-point demand before the National Working Committee (NWC).

The move, coming just weeks before the convention, is seen as a strategic step to influence the direction of the party’s leadership and its internal arrangements. Party insiders say the demands could significantly shape the outcome of the gathering, as the PDP seeks to reposition itself ahead of future elections.

Details of the six-point agenda are yet to be made public, but sources within the party hint that they border on leadership structure, internal democracy, and preparations for the 2027 general elections.
